Agriturismo Ca' Versa

Local dishes and wine and the fire of the fireplace We arrived in 12 people for a video and photographic service and this agritourism restaurant enbraces us with all its warmth and welcomes us with an incredible hospitality. We are already fascinated by the place, the fireplace and, for those who like, the cats that are seen from the garden and even cuddle ... An ideal lunch: appetizer with local salami and vegetables from the kitchen garden; followed by a delicious carnaroli risotto with white pinot wine and rosemary. As a main course a roast loin rollé with fig cream accompanied by baked potatoes. The wine? Local of course! "Il Distinto": a nice red wine. We came out with a smile! I recommend it!

We had lunch with some friends trying the fixed weekend menu which changes weekly. Cost 30 euros excluding drinks. Very good starter with local cured meats and spectacular vegetables in oil from the garden; portions ok. I would have preferred to have a little more bread available, but when we asked if it was possible to have more bread they added half a slice per person to the basket. Risotto with pumpkin and particular licorice, also very good, but the portions in this case were paltry (at a guess it was perhaps 50g of rice)... obviously for those who wanted it there was also an encore (literally a spoonful, not more). Beef stew with cabbage definitely too hard and dry and not very tasty. Very good homemade desserts. Wide selection of homemade bitters, I recommend trying the yellow raspberry one: it's amazing!

Driven by the nice reviews of this farm I chose it for my lunch last Saturday but unfortunately it didn't go very well... However, I would like to write a constructive review as I usually do and not criticism. This farmhouse is located among the hills of Pavia which, among other things, in this period are still full of colored leaves, therefore the surroundings and locations are undoubtedly very beautiful. I went for lunch on a Saturday so with a first part of a fixed menu and the possibility of choosing between two second courses and three desserts so so far everything was ok. I attach photos of the dishes, you can see what type of ham there is among the starters, the saffron and Brussels sprout risotto is very sweet so it's a personal choice that I wouldn't have made for the rest more or less everything is normal nothing exceptional as expected now always from a farm... The clientele was quite varied, a table of young people, families, couples, so certainly a place chosen by many different types of people, for this reason I would perhaps focus more on the quality of some ingredients (shoulder like ham, please no...) We are probably really used to understanding the farm as a place where you eat special and excellent quality things and when this isn't the case it's a small disappointment... As for the service, nothing to say, everything was ok. The girl who served our table was very kind... The choice of wines is beautiful... Inside the farmhouse there is the possibility of buying honey and other typical products... I don't know if I would go back...

Finally at Cà Versa with my daughter, after having talked to her about it so much. Everything as I expected, even better, warm and genuine welcome, enchanting view but above all rich menu, starter of cured meats and vegetables cooked in different ways, tasty. What about the chestnut and barbera risotto... at the first forkful I went back in time, when I went to my grandmother in Piedmont and she made me her risotto, with that unique flavor and that creaminess, how good 😋 the tomato meatballs were excellent with polenta, the desserts are another excellence, we chose chocolate salami and soft coffee cake, both delicious ❤️ the women at Cà Versa are really nice and it really feels like home. The only flaw: I wasn't able to meet the sweetest Jojo and her mother, I plan to do it again next time. Experience to be repeated of course ❤️
